FAQ

How does AI RFP software handle deployment, data residency, model training, and data retention?

What to require on model training, zero data retention and deployment isolation, and the provider agreements Inventive AI documents.

Four separate promises, and each belongs in the contract rather than on a web page. The model providers now default to not training on business data: Anthropic's commercial terms say it may not train on customer content, and OpenAI says the same for its business products, though it holds API data up to 30 days unless you have a zero-retention agreement. Your RFP vendor sits between you and those providers, so ask about both layers, what the vendor does, and what its model provider does.

Inventive AI does not use customer data to train, fine-tune, or improve models through any channel. It holds enterprise agreements with model providers including OpenAI and Anthropic specifying zero data retention, so prompts and responses are not stored at rest after the response returns. Deployment runs on dedicated VPCs separated between production and staging, with strict tenant isolation.

Pro tip. Ask for the model-provider terms in writing.
